U3A Classes are filling - still some vacancies

We hope that you have had an enjoyable start to the U3A program of activities.  There are still vacancies in some classes, so should you be interested, please check the U3A website for more information about the classes listed below.
I particularly draw your attention to “Card Making”.  A member sent an email to say how much she enjoyed the activity and quite rightly said, “Cards are still special and I think are far more powerful than emails as greetings.”

New IT Classes Starting Soon

Do you need help using Microsoft Word or Excel? These two short courses will be tailored to meet the attendee's needs with the aim of using more of the functions that Word and Excel offer. In addition, the courses will be sufficiently flexible to answer questions about other Office 365 products (for example PowerPoint, One Note, One Drive etc.).

Former Supreme Court Judge David Ashton Lewis will join us to discuss the History of Law (where we came from and where we are going). David is well known to U3A members. He has a weekly discussion program on Thursdays on Gold Coast Radio 4CRB and he is also the tutor for our own U3A Topical Issues class.

Clare, from the renowned Berghofer Institute of Medical Research in Brisbane, will be the presenter at the next Tea & Talk 9am on Thursday, 18 August, 2022 at 4 Boyd Street, Tugun.
