Join a group of fellow artists to draw subjects from life (what we see in front of us), and to discuss the drawing process, and drawing and art in general. Our wonderful tutor, Jacqui Posener, has offered to take a French Beginners' class at Kirra Hill CC on Tuesdays (11:30-1:30) in 2022. This will only go ahead if we have sufficient numbers. The next session will be at 9.00 am on Thursday, 1st April at Boyd Street. Richard Posener will present "The Rise and Fall of the Russian Avant-Garde".
The presentation will sketch the main developments of Russian art which lead up to the explosion of creativity beginning at the end of the 19th Century. The talk will look at the movement's key developments and sample some of the work of its most famous artists before its eventual demise at the mid-to-late 1920s.
