Did you know that U3A Southern Gold Coast operates entirely through the efforts of dedicated volunteers. These volunteers give up their time so we can provide classes and activities for our members. No-one gets paid. Volunteers are, however, human. They have families, and interests and commitments outside U3A. Please don’t take advantage of their generosity. If jobs are shared among many we all benefit. We have a number of positions which are currently vacant and many of these could be shared among several people to lessen the individual commitment. You will be supported in your role and we guarantee that you’ll feel valued. Help us to continue to build a strong organisation.

Marketing Manager – ensure our organisation and its programs and activities are widely promoted within the community and are recognised and valued as community assets. Membership Officer – ensure the membership process is efficient and effective and provide the Committee of Management with an understanding of the membership. Member Wizard Support - ensure the processes using our database, Member Wizard, are working effectively as well as checking that outstanding fees and charges are followed up. Asset Manager – ensure compliance with lease requirements, purchase equipment, liaise with Council and manage an annual audit of assets. Funding Manager – seek out and apply for sources of funding, within established guidelines. Newsletter Editor – produce a quarterly newsletter which is of high quality and is newsworthy. Community Table Tennis Assistant – assist with putting up/taking down table tennis tables and collecting money one morning per month. Dates help needed 6/03, 13/03, 15/05, 22/05, 29/05, 7/08. |
