The Cancer Council Big Morning Tea is back 18 May

U3A SGC has been hosting this special event for 22 years.

Join us at Boyd Street on 18th May at 11AM for a fun-filled morning with a lucky door prize, a raffle and the Biggest and Best Morning Tea.  Please bring some 'Cash for Cancer' for the raffle, the prize is a beautiful lamp (see photo).

Ron Boaler is the guest speaker this year. He a Vietnam veteran and a cancer survivor. Since going through a long period of cancer treatment in the late 70’s he is an enthusiastic fund raiser for the Cancer Council. Ron was instrumental in establishing the Charles Wanstall Apex Lodge in Herston, Brisbane that provides accommodation for families of cancer patients.
Our Division 14 Councillor, Gail O’Neill and the newly elected Division 13 Councillor, Josh Martin have been invited to join us.
