Welcome to U3A SGC 2024!

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

I am looking forward to another year of events and challenges, companionship, thought-provoking discussion, intellectual stimulation, physical activity, skills tutoring and friendship. None of this would be possible without the generosity of our volunteers who donate their enthusiasm, time, knowledge, skills and talent.

Volunteers serve on the Management Committee, run the office, support increasingly important technology, conduct discussions and classes and arrange events. Indeed, there would be no U3A SGC without our volunteers. 

To become a volunteer you don’t need to sign up for a particular role or ongoing ‘job’. We welcome members to help with one-off events or projects. Any contribution of time, skill and support is welcome and important.

I invite you to become a volunteer. Please feel free to talk with me or one of the other Committee members at the forthcoming Information Days on Wednesday, 24 January and Tuesday, 30 January to find out how you can help to keep our organisation vibrant, active and relevant.
