The AGM will to be held at Boyd Street on Tuesday 17th June 2025 at 9am. All positions on the management committee will be vacated and an election will be held to fill the positions. The positions to be filled are: President; Vice-president; Secretary; Treasurer; Programme Manager; Digital Technology Manager; Asset Manager; and Funds Manager. The Office Manager role will be added as a management committee position. Some existing committee members are not re-nominating, and some will nominate for the positions they currently serve for another year. Unless all positions are filled it will be difficult to maintain the business of U3A SGC. It is important that members participate in the running of our U3A, and I hope that each of you will consider becoming involved. Nomination forms will be sent to members in early June and nominations will also be called from the floor at the AGM. Because of changes to the Incorporated Association’s legislation, the U3A SGC Constitution must be amended. The draft amended constitution will be emailed to all members with explanatory notes so that members understand the changes. The amended constitution will be an important item on the agenda and members will have to vote to accept the amendments. |
